Melbourne Soul & Gospel Choir is for anyone with a passion for singing and who wants to learn and improve. You do not need to be able to read music nor have years of experience, and we do not audition.
For you to check us out, we hold regular 'Try Out' sessions. These are usually towards the end of our terms 1, 2 and 3.These sessions are held on our normal rehearsal evenings and are a great opportunity to see how the choir works. If you have not sung with choirs before, or not for some time, a member of our Music Team may do a basic voice check, to figure out which section you would be best suited to and to answer any questions you may have.
How do I join?
Please fill out our Expression of Interest Form, If you have any questions about the application process or membership in general, please e-mail our Membership Liaison and we will be in touch. We may not always be recruiting new members to all sections, and if so we will keep your details on file.
Please let us know:
- Voice type (soprano, alto, tenor, bass, or not sure)
- Prior singing experience with choirs (including MSG!)
- Your contact details (e-mail and mobile)
